How did you hear about CrossFit and what was your first experience/WOD/workout?

I first learned about CrossFit after buying the book Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe and researching functional strength. My first workout was a CrossFit class at Crow River CrossFit on 6-6-2016. What I really remember was in the first couple of weeks we had to do 150 wall balls. I was thinking how in the heck am I going to get through that! Everybody in class helped me finish the WOD.

When did you first come to Core Fit N Motion / Crow River CrossFit?

I had an intro class with Renee on June 4, 2016 and signed up for a month. My first class was CrossFit on June 6, 2016 How many days do you work out at our facility?

What classes do you normally take (times and specialties)?

I workout 3-4 days a week, 5:30 p.m. CrossFit and 0830 Saturday Barbell class.

What motivates you/keeps you coming back to Core Fit N Motion / Crow River CrossFit?

The encouragement and inspiration from the entire Crow River Coaching Staff and all the members, just a great bunch of people. It’s awesome watching everybody get their PR’s. I want to be Happy, Healthy and Harder to Kill.

What accomplishment are you the most proud of (outside and inside of the gym)?

I’m most proud of my Family, my Wife- Renee and our three boys- Andrew, Brandon and Cody. In the gym- finally completing a squat snatch and completing nine months of CrossFit.

After a hard workout, what is your favorite meal?

Healthy meal- chicken/fish/steak with vegetables and sweet potatoes. Junk food- pizza or burgers.

What are some of your interests outside of CrossFit and Kettle Bells?

Pheasant hunting, fishing and spending time with my family.

What do you do for a living?

I’m a Sales Representative for Echo Global Logistics. We provide Domestic and International Supply Chain Logistics for Companies shipping their raw goods and finished product in all modes of transportation.

What is one goal that you are currently working on?

Strict pullups.
